South Cherokee is a more than 60-year-old organization funded privately through volunteers, alumni, corporate sponsorships and the general public. We have been a trademark in the Woodstock, Georgia community since 1963. Our baseball program is a Braves Country Baseball based organization, which also hosts a number of visitor tournaments each year.
The objective of our baseball program is to provide a supervised, competitive athletic program, subject to the rules and regulations of South Cherokee and Braves Country Baseball. We believe that in order for our children to grow into successful and healthy adults, the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty and reverence must be firmly implanted at a young age. We strive to foster a family friendly environment, in which our children can grow physically, socially, and emotionally, through the love of baseball. The attainment of exceptional athletic skill or winning the game is secondary; the molding of future citizens is the true purpose of this organization.
Volunteering is essential to the future growth and development of our park, as we are 100% volunteer oriented. Children watch everything you do. By giving back to the community, you show them firsthand how volunteering makes a difference and how good it feels to help others and enact change. It’s also a valuable way for you to get to know our organization and a chance to be a part of its future success. Please sign-up to volunteer today!
See you at the park,
